What is the Only1 card?

The Only1® Visa® Prepaid Card gives you the power to make purchases wherever Visa debit cards are accepted worldwide. You can use this card for all your everyday expenditures whether you are at home, out and about or abroad! The Only1 Visa Prepaid Card can be used to make online, phone or mail order purchases. It can also be used at millions of ATMs worldwide. The temporary card cannot be used at any merchant requiring a manual imprint. Neither the personalized nor temporary card can be used for gambling. The amount of every purchase or ATM withdrawal you make will automatically be deducted from the value on the card. When completing a transaction, select "Credit" if you would like to sign for your transaction and "Debit" if you would like to use your PIN number.

Where can I use my Only1 card?

The Only1 card can be used at all locations worldwide that accept Visa debit cards. In addition, you can use this card to withdraw cash and check your balance at millions of ATMs worldwide. This card can also be used to make purchases online, over the phone, or through mail order.

How do I make purchases with my Only1 card?

When making a purchase with the Only1 card, select "Credit" and sign the receipt or select "Debit" and use your PIN number.

What is authorization?

When you present your Only1 card to a merchant for a purchase, they run an authorization to ensure that the card is valid and to reserve sufficient funds for the purchase. When making purchases with certain types of merchants (for example, restaurants, pay-at-the-pump gas stations, hotels and car rental companies), your Only1 card may be authorized for a different amount than the actual purchase price. Usually this is done to ensure that the card contains sufficient funds until the purchase is settled.

How do I view my card activity?

Check your card details anytime by logging into your account online or by calling Only1 customer service at 866-630-2504. When you login to your account online you can access your card balance, transaction history, report your card lost or stolen, pay bills with Click-n-Pay, and more.

Who can apply for an Only1 card?

You must be a US resident over 18 with a valid social security number and a verifiable address to get a card. Currently we do not offer Only1 cards to residents of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa or other U.S. territories. All Secondary cardholders must be 13 or older. During the activation process you will be required to supply your name, address, date-of-birth, social security number, or taxpayer ID number for non-U.S. citizens.

How do I load my card?

You may reload your personalized card at thousands of participating retailers, at any Visa ReadyLink reload location or through FREE direct deposit. Load fees and limits vary by retailer. Click here to find a retail location near you.

How many additional Only1 Visa Prepaid Cards can I get?

You may request up to two additional Only1 Visa Prepaid Cards. The secondary cardholders must be 13 years or older and have their personal information verified. The activation fee for each additional Only1 Visa Prepaid Card is $9.95.

Can I use my Only1 Visa Prepaid Card at car rentals, hotels, gas stations and restaurants?

It depends on the merchant. When you use your card at any of the above locations or at any other service oriented merchant, it's called an "open-ended" transaction. That means the total amount due is unknown. The merchant has the right to authorize more than the transaction amount (i.e., an additional 20% at restaurants for a tip). The merchant also has the right to hold funds on your card. In order to avoid these types of holds, we recommend that you prepay for your gas and that you call hotels and rental car companies first to inquire about their prepaid card policy.

Can the Only1 Visa Prepaid Card be replaced if lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen, call Customer Service toll-free at 866-630-2504 to cancel your card as soon as you can. After you cancel your Only1 Visa Prepaid Card, a replacement card with the remaining balance minus a $5.95 replacement fee will be mailed to you.

What if I return something I purchased?

When you return something purchased, the merchant will credit the amount of the return to your card. Because returns are handled through the merchant's bank, credits may take 2-3 business days to appear in your Only1 card.

What is MoneyShield?

The MoneyShield feature is a separate account number within your Only1 account that maintains its own balance. It is attached to a virtual Visa number when making purchases. This account information may only be used online, by mail or over the phone at merchants that accept Visa debit cards. To make a purchase,

  1. Transfer money to your MoneyShield account
  2. Select Visa as payment type
  3. Enter your 16-digit Visa virtual account number.
  4. Enter the expiration or "Valid Thru" date if prompted.
  5. Enter the "CVV2" code if prompted.

Your purchase will be deducted from your MoneyShield account balance. There is a one-time $9.95 activation fee for your MoneyShield account.

What is BuddyMoney?

BuddyMoney is a money transfer feature of the Only1 account. It is the quickest, easiest way to send cash to another Only1 cardholder. To send money, simply add them to your buddy list, select them, enter the amount to send, and the amount is instantly deducted from your Only1 balance. Sending money is as simple as the click of a button. There is a $0.50 fee per transfer. BuddyMoney transfer limits: up to $100 per day, $500 per month per card.

What are 1Alerts?

Sign up for free 1Alerts and Only1 will notify you of any activity associated with your account. Alerts include your weekly balance, bill payment activity or payment authorizations. You can receive 1Alerts via email, text to your mobile phone or to our secure message center.

What is Click-n-Pay?

Only1's automated bill payment service allows you to send a one-time or a recurring payment to thousands of billers. Your bill is paid instantly and the amount is deducted from your available balance. You can set up, edit, send payments and view your payment history online. You can send one payment a week for free and each payment thereafter is $1 per payment. If a biller is not listed in our database, a paper check will be sent for $1 per check.

What is a Reloadit?

Reloadit enables you to reload any Only1 Prepaid Card. At a participating merchant, take a Reloadit carrier with you to the register and load any amount between $20 - $500 (Cash Only). A reload fee will be added to your purchase.

To redeem your Reloadit, logon to your card account and go to the Reloadit page under the "Add Money" subheading. Enter the 10-digit number located under the scratch off on the back of the Reloadit carrier to add funds to your card account.

What are the Only1 Fees?

Retail Purchase Fee There is a purchase fee of $9.95 added to initial value load.
Online Purchase Fee There is a purchase fee of $5.00, does not include initial value load.
Replacement Fee If your Card is lost or stolen, there will be a fee of $5.95 to replace it.
Secondary Card Fee There is a $9.95 fee for every secondary card requested (up to two allowed).
Expedited Delivery Fee There is a $25 fee if you would like your personalized or replacement card delivery expedited (2 - 3 business days).
Check Refund Fee There is a $5.95 fee to issue a check refund.
Monthly Service Fee There is a $4.95 monthly service fee. All PIN purchase and Signature transactions are free.
ATM Domestic Transaction Fee There is a $1.95 ATM Domestic transaction fee.
ATM International Transaction Fee There is a $3.95 ATM International transaction fee.
Balance Inquiry (ATM Domestic) There is a $0.75 domestic ATM balance inquiry fee.
Balance Inquiry (ATM International) There is a $0.95 international ATM balance inquiry fee.
Bank Teller/Non ATM Cash Advance There is a $4.00 bank teller/Non ATM cash advance fee.
